Is an organisation, which represents people who are living in slum cities. The organisation helps them to get their voice and to be treated with even rights by the city officials. In many big cities in Asia, Africa and Latin America, the majority of the citizens is living in the poor slums, without access to water or electricity. But the ressources are there, and it is therefore the goal of Slum Dwellers International to have them more evenly distributed within the cities. The importance is, not to blame the city officials, but to work out pro-active solutions in cooperation with the slum citizens and to give those proposals to the officials.
