What is the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)?

Assesses the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change.

IPCC provides policy-makers with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge and it gives insights in potential environmental and socio-economic impacts.

Established by the U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 1988. Currently 195 countries are member.
